I had not heard of lomilomi before, but have worked with Jen in the past, so I jumped at the chance to have Jen work with me with this “new” modality. What affected me the most was the level of sacred honouring lomilomi imparts on the client. My body responded immediately to Jen’s care and grace as she taught me the proper breathing methods and worked with me on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. Jen held an impeccable space for our healing work. Physically I felt more relaxed than ever before due to the deeply nurturing attention of this healing. Emotionally and spiritually this healing is profound yet incredibly gentle. I left my first lomilomi session feeling deeply cared for on all levels.

What amazed me was how quickly and easily my body responded to the gentle guidance and rhythms of the passages songs. Where my mind was confused or blocked, my body led me through the healing movements needed to release and find freedom. Jen held space for transformation and reminded me to be curious and not rush my process. Thank you for this beautiful experience!
The several dances I did were powerful. To feel and be my young child through dancing during the Dancing Passages facilitated by Jennifer opened a space within that honored that little girl with pure goodness and joy. This emotion was felt in my inner core and ‘beingness’ as I enveloped myself with movement and energy.
I was very grateful for this experience, especially in that particular context where intellectual activities are the majority and there is much emphasis on thinking. This ceremony honored me as a human in a body, while also being deeply reflective, emotional and healing. Because this was a ceremony, I felt safe to let any emotion surface while surrounded by people I didn’t know that well.
Dancing with my infant son, guided by Jen’s voice, carried me inwards to a deeper place than I had previously allowed myself to go. I experienced a heart-swell of fascination as I contemplated, through movement, my experience – universal and personal – on the path from child to mother. Dancing that realization, my breath and tears flowing over him, was profoundly moving and memorable. Although the experience was deeply my own Jen’s guidance helped me to get there.
Soul Vine Dancing Ceremonies
I am still feeling joyous today after taking part in an amazing evening of dance and movement. Jennifer Engracio: thank you for sharing your amazing gifts, you create and hold a space in such a beautiful way and the music was brilliant. I so appreciate and admire how you guide the experience. Children’s Equinox and Solstice Ceremonies
Thank you again for another wonderful day of song, creativity and self expression. Max painted his first drum today, the serpent fire or flaming snake drum turned out very cool. He was busy sending out healing vibrations and niceness the whole way home. It surprises me how out going he is with you. He’s quite shy at school so watching him put his hand up and lead a circle like that is wild. It’s a testament to how gifted you are with kids that he feels so comfortable.

Book: Dreaming of Cupcakes: A Food Addict’s Shamanic Journey into Healing
I invite you to check out this new book by my friend and shamanic teacher colleague. We are living in a time when multiple addictions are wired deeply into our culture and family systems. Someone bravely and candidly sharing how she used all the shamanic means available to her to heal from food addiction is an important book for our time! And it does not only apply to food addiction – those methods can be used in engaging with any addiction. Thank you for this ground-breaking book Jennifer Engracio!
